Each and every machine that Hyster sells goes through a nine stage development process from initial concept and design to the manufacturing and selling of the equipment. Each and every stage of the development process has been created to guarantee product quality over the machinery's lifetime. Hyster testing centers are able to simulate the life cycle of a lift truck in order to ensure that the machine performs as intended and that it lasts.

To start with, Hyster performs a lot of research about client needs in order to be certain that we know what all our clients really want. This research is then utilized to product design.
